My jaw drops, and I turn to watch her as she walks away from me. Her hips swaying side to side drives me even more crazy.

Tessa rejected me, and I have to admit she did so quite flawlessly. She even managed to throw an unintentional threat into the mix, which not only impressed the shit out of me, but it made me hard as fuck.

I grin for a moment but still feel frustrated by her rejection. Usually, something like this wouldn’t bother me, and I’d just sweep it under the rug and forget about it. But there’s something about Tessa that keeps me going back. Maybe it’s her innocence that makes it so fun to pursue her. Perhaps it’s because she’s not the kind of woman I would usually go after, and that’s why I’m so drawn to her. She’s different, a breath of fresh air. She may not be what I need, but she’s who I want. I want her. I want to please her again. Control her. Spank that perfect ass of hers. Wrap her hair around my wrist, and fuck her mouth with my cock.

“There you are,” I suddenly hear a voice behind me, and I turn around abruptly.

John, the head of the HR department, stands beside me, and I clench my jaw.

“You okay, Ryder?” he asks.

“Yes, of course.”

“Do you mind if I talk to you for a minute?” he asks. “In your office?”

“Not at all. I was just on my way back there.”

“Great, thank you.”

John and I take a quick walk back to my office, and as he steps inside, I close the door behind me.

“I’m all ears,” I say to him and walk around my desk.
